Since 1993, Carefree Senior Living has owned and operated 11 retirement communities throughout the Las Vegas and Sacramento areas, serving over 24,500 active senior residents.
Today we carry that legacy forward with two vibrant 55+ communities — The Willows in Summerlin, Las Vegas and North Natomas in Sacramento — each built around the active Carefree Lifestyle and resort-style amenities our residents deserve.

Our Developer's Story
Ken Templeton, the visionary, founder and owner of Carefree Senior Living, has developed commercial and residential properties since 1981. Concerned by a growing senior housing shortage in the Las Vegas valley, he committed himself to filling the need — and in 1993, Carefree Senior Living apartment communities emerged.
Ken takes a personal interest in knowing the people who live at his communities, attending special functions and social events in the Clubhouse. He feels strongly that staying busy and active keeps one healthy and young at heart. That’s why at Carefree, you’ll never be bored; we make sure of it!
